To provide innovative education, tools, and resources to recreation, fitness, and wellness professionals, and senior-serving organizations, so that they may be empowered to deliver high-quality, dynamic, and engaging senior fitness experiences to the older adults they serve. As a result, we'll be able to help decrease the incidence of falls, chronic disease and dementia, and help as many older adults as possible to stay physically strong, intellectually sharp, and socially connected.
WHERE WE STAND
StrongerU Senior Fitness is the first education company of it's kind globally! Born out of frustration and passion, we link arms with equally passionate recreation, fitness, and senior living professionals to help them improve the quality of senior fitness programming at their organization. We're the first to provide organizations and individuals serving seniors with 30-minutes of brand new class content monthly in a rotation of four formats - Cardio, Strength, Stretch, and Balance, using a unique holistic approach that incorporates the 6 dimensions of wellness and places a big emphasis on programming that helps older adults to maintain a healthy brain in addition to a healthy body.

REALIZING THE VISION
Prior to founding StrongerU Senior Fitness, Emily Johnson, worked in community chronic disease management and senior living settings. As a Regional Manager of Recreation, she was responsible for supporting a team of 49 Directors of Recreation working in Independent and Assisted Living communities. Her team was passionate about providing high-quality and engaging programming for their residents, but expressed that a lack of education, tools, and resources to do so was their biggest barrier to providing quality fitness classes. Some individuals had taken fitness courses or training, but still ended up using questionable YouTube videos for class inspiration. Others had no training and used outdated exercises from crumpled up pieces of paper that were passed down to them. Many described feeling inadequately trained to teach the fitness classes that were required of them.
After years of seeing this need, and realizing there was no solution currently available, Emily founded StrongerU Senior Fitness in 2019 to be the solution to an industry-wide hunger for education, tools, and resources that empowered recreation and fitness professionals to deliver high-quality senior fitness classes.
